Camp Blood 2
A film crew becomes the killer's new victims.
Camp Blood 2, a 2000 American slasher film, serves as the follow-up to *Camp Blood*. Brad Sykes directed the movie, with David S. Sterling producing it.
One year after the first film's events, filmmaker Worthy Milligan plans a movie based on the murders. He hires Tricia, the traumatized sole survivor of the original massacre, as a technical advisor. When Tricia, Milligan, and the rest of the cast and crew head into the woods, the horror becomes real again. The clown reappears and starts killing the crew members one by one.
After most of the crew is dead, the killer captures Tricia. The killer reveals herself as Adrienne, the sister of Harris (the original killer), who blames Tricia for Harris's death. During their struggle, Tricia uses a lighter to set the gasoline-soaked Adrienne on fire. Tricia then grabs Adrienne's machete and slashes her throat. Before dying, Adrienne gives Tricia her mask. Tricia escapes, carrying both the mask and the machete.
The cast includes Jennifer Ritchkoff as Tricia Young, Garrett Clancy as Worth Milligan, Missy Rae Hansen as Adrienne Palmer, and Danny Rayfield as the Clown.
The film came out on DVD on March 18, 2002, via Film 2000, and on March 26 of the same year via Speedo.
Digital Retribution gave a negative review, calling it "boring, pretentious, pompous" and noting a disappearing clown on fire. The review stated the only reason to watch is a quote about juice and killer clowns, and since readers have already seen it, there is no reason to waste time on the film.
A third, unofficial film, *Within the Woods*, followed in 2005. Brad Sykes, who wrote and directed the first two films, returned for *Within the Woods*, but Jennifer Ritchkoff did not reprise her role as Tricia Young. A fourth sequel, *Camp Blood First Slaughter*, released in early 2014, was written and directed by Mark Polonia and is sometimes called *Camp Blood 3*. Three more films came out in 2016: *Camp Blood 4*, *Camp Blood 5*, and *Camp Blood 666*. These were followed by *It Kills: Camp Blood 7* in 2017, *The Ghost of Camp Blood* (a spin-off) in 2018, and *Camp Blood 8: Revelations* in 2019. These later films do not acknowledge Brad Sykes's third entry, *Within the Woods*.
