Hell House LLC: Lineage

Hell House LLC: Lineage, a 2025 American horror film, is the fifth and final chapter of the Hell House LLC series. Stephen Cognetti wrote and directed the movie, with Joe Bandelli producing. The cast includes Elizabeth Vermilyea, Searra Sawka, and Mike Sutton.

The story begins in 1989, as the Carmichael family mourns Margaret Carmichael, who died in a car crash. Her husband Patrick vows revenge on those responsible. Four years later, a man named Troy Hopewell is killed by a figure in a clown costume. In the present, Vanessa, a former TV personality who covered Russell Wynn's *Insomnia* at the Abaddon Hotel, runs a local bar. She suffers from PTSD and visions of a run-down house after Andrew Tully's attack on the hotel. Her psychiatrist, Dr. Farrel, notes that others had similar symptoms after three investigators died at Carmichael Manor. After a therapy session, Vanessa meets Bobby, a former employee and Troy Hopewell’s son. Dr. Farrel later tells Vanessa that Bobby was murdered by the same clown that killed his father.

Vanessa then connects with Alicia, a true crime author who worked with Bobby. They learn that Troy Hopewell and four friends caused Margaret’s car crash. Over the years, those five people and some of their family members have vanished or died under strange circumstances, with a red ball left at each scene. Vanessa wonders why she is involved, since her only link to Margaret’s death is her estranged husband. She wakes from a nightmare to find a red ball in her room. Alicia asks Father David to exorcise Carmichael Manor. Knowing she might not survive, Alicia gives Vanessa her research on Abaddon and Andrew Tully. Alicia and Father David meet the caretaker, Donald, but fail to exorcise the home and die. Vanessa has another dream and realizes the house is Tully’s former home. In a vision, she learns that Donald is Tully’s associate, and the two manipulated Patrick into building the Abaddon Hotel and starting a cult to seek immortality. Donald tells Vanessa she is one of two children born to a woman Tully impregnated. Vanessa snaps back to reality, chasing a man she saw outside Carmichael Manor. She recognizes him as her twin brother, Mitchell, whom she thought was dead.

Production began on October 29, 2024, after a teaser trailer announced the fifth installment in July 2024. Cognetti stated the film is not found footage, unlike its predecessor
